Epoxy and polyurethane (PU) floors look similar but behave very differently under stress. Picking the right one comes down to your operating environment.
Where epoxy wins
Epoxy is hard, rigid and offers excellent chemical and abrasion resistance at a lower cost. It’s ideal for warehouses, showrooms, car parks and general industrial floors that stay at stable temperatures.
Where PU wins
PU flooring is more flexible and far more tolerant of thermal shock and aggressive cleaning. That makes it the standard choice for food and beverage, dairy and pharmaceutical plants where floors are steam-cleaned or exposed to hot and cold cycles.
